The number of victims in March was nearly double that of last April and 1.6 times higher than the peak month in 2022. New ransomware gangs such as Royal, BianLian, and Play emerged, while established players like Lockbit and Clop executed mass-ransomware attacks. Top targeted industries were manufacturing, professional services, and education. The United States was the most targeted country, followed by the UK and Germany.
